So, who is David O'Brien and what is he about? Well, I'm David O'Brien and I’m originally from Mayo but I've called Dublin home for over 25 years. I moved here to study at The National Film School in IADT, and since graduating in 2004, I’ve worked steadily in film and education.
For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a ga... a storyteller. When I was younger, writing was my passion, and once I discovered video editing I found a whole new way to tell stories. I'm lucky enough that I've been able to make a living doing both.
Over the years, I’ve contributed to award-winning television and film projects, as well as a variety of short-form works. My specialty is documentary editing, though recently, I’ve gained invaluable experience in drama as well. I’m proficient in Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro—and pretty nifty with Final Draft, too.
